What's wrong: These motor homes may contain a generator with an improperly sized breaker for its intended application. A 30-amp circuit breaker is installed where a 20-amp circuit breaker should be. This breaker protects the circuit that goes to a central air conditioning unit.
Why it matters: If an overload were to occur to the circuit, it could ignite the insulation and result in bodily injury and/or property damage.
The fix: Dealers will inspect the circuit breakers in the generator and, if necessary, replace the breaker.
