Details

What's wrong: On certain motorcycles, fuel can leak from the fuel pump flange.

Why it matters: Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire.

The fix: Dealers will install spacers between the fuel pump flange and the fuel tank, and will also replace the flange gasket if it is damaged. Owner notification is expected to begin during January/February 2002.
