Details

What's wrong: On certain motorcycles, under certain riding conditions, such as continuously bumpy roads, the rear wheel could develop stress cracks where the wheel spokes attach to the hub.

Why it matters: The spokes will eventually fail, causing the wheel to collapse without warning.

The fix: Dealers will replace the rear wheel, including a new tire. Owner notification is expected to begin during September 2002.
