What's wrong: On certain motorcycles, the throttle linkage can fail to return to a completely closed position.

Why it matters: Should this failure occur, the motorcycle could fail to decelerate when the rider wants it to, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will replace the throttle return cable. Owner notification is expected to begin during October 2002.
