Details
What's wrong: On certain passenger vehicles equipped with 17 inch alloy wheels, the wheels may have a casting defect from which cracks could propagate as the vehicle is being driven.
Why it matters: If a sufficient number of cracks develop, the wheel could fail and separate from the mounting hub, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace these wheels. Owner notification began April 28, 2003.
