NHTSA recall 04V552000
Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Jayco, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: Certain travel trailers have the potential for the brake wires to be improperly secured along the trailer frame. This could lead to the brake wires coming in contact with the axle mounting plate and chafing through the protective insulation.
Why it matters: This condition may result in loss of braking, which could lead to a crash or personal injury.
The fix: Dealers will replace and re-route the axle brake wire to clear the axle mounting plate. The recall began December 1, 2004. Owners should contact jayco at 574-825-0608.
