NHTSA recall 05V361000
Suspension · DAMON MOTOR COACH
Details
What's wrong: Some (pacific/waldorf edition) motor homes fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard no.. 120 "tire selection and rims for motor vehicles other than passenger cars." Under certain loading conditions, the front gross axle weight rating (gawr) could be exceeded.
Why it matters: Under certain loading conditions, the front axle could become overloaded increasing the risk of crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace both front tires with a greater load carrying capacity, which will increase the front gross axle weight rating. The recall began August 29, 2005.
