Details
What's wrong: On certain motorcycles, the air filter mounting screws may come loose and fall out.
Why it matters: If the screws fall out, they could get caught in the throttle valve which could prevent the operator from reducing engine speed properly. This could result in a loss of control and a vehicle crash with injury or death.
The fix: Dealers will replace the air filter element with a new one that is designed to hold the screws securely free of charge. The recall began on November 29, 2006.
