NHTSA recall 06V465000
Steering · Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd.
Details
What's wrong: On certain motorcycles, the rear drag link-through bolt may bend and, if not replaced or overloaded, may fracture causing the rear tire to contact the underside of the rear mudguard.
Why it matters: This could cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will install a higher grade nut than the original arrangement and a single-through sleeve (the original design included 3 separate sleeves). The recall began on January 5, 2007.
