Details

What's wrong: Certain fifth wheel travel trailers fail to comply with the requirements of part 567, 'certification.' The gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) is incorrect.

Why it matters: A misprinted label could lead to improper vehicle loading or tire inflation which could result in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Owners will be sent correct federal certification and trailer weight information tags and installation instructions. An owner can have these tags installed at their dealership if they do not want to install the tags themselves. The recall began on January 24, 2007.
