What's wrong: The battery control center (bcc) miscellaneous wire harness is routed between framing at the driver's wheel well and the front leveling jack.
Why it matters: This routing can cause the wires to be pinched resulting in shorted or open circuits which could lead to blown fuses, house component nonoperation and may result in a fire.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reroute the bcc miscellaneous wire harness free of charge. The recall began on August 27, 2008.
