Why it matters: Any damage to the harness may lead to loss of functionality of the motorcycle system or an unexpected loss of engine performance, and thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will check, reposition and fasten the main wiring harness to the frame free of charge. The safety recall began on June 1, 2009.
