NHTSA recall 10V021000
Equipment · Jayco, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: In the presence of moisture, a remote activation module for the leveling jack may activate autonomously without the use of the remote control.
Why it matters: If the jack were to activate while the vehicle is being towed, it could result in a crash leading to property damage, injury, or death.
The fix: Dealers will install a relay which will prevent the remote module from self-activating in the presence of moisture. The safety recall is expected to begin during February 2010.
