NHTSA recall 10V410000
Power Train · Dutchmen Manufacturing, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: Affects vehicles equipped with lippert axles components. These vehicles may contain mis-located welds attaching the axle spindle to the axle tube. If the welds are mis-located, the spindle may partially or completely separate from the axle tube and the wheel and hub assembly may come off the vehicle.
Why it matters: A separated tire and wheel assembly could strike other vehicles and/or pedestrians, risking injury or death, and/or cause significant damage property.
The fix: Dutchmen is working with lippert to inspect and replace if an axle is found to be defective on a vehicle free of charge. The safety recall began on September 20, 2010.
