Details
What's wrong: Since the gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) is stated incorrectly, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of part 567, âcertification.â
Why it matters: Customers may unknowingly exceed the gvwr. Exceeding the gvwr of the vehicle, can lead to loss of vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the label. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or before January 23, 2012.
