Details

What's wrong: The weld strength attaching the sub-frame bushing collar to the passenger-side front lower arm is insufficient. The collar can separate from the arm due to vibration while driving.

Why it matters: As a result, a loss of steering can occur, increasing the risk of crash.

The fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the production lot stamp on the passenger-side front lower arm and, if necessary, replace the lower arm, free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or about April 17, 2012.
