Details

What's wrong: These vehicles were manufactured with incorrect information on the recreational vehicle cargo carrying capacity label. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard no. 120, "tire selection and rims for motor vehicles other than passenger cars."

Why it matters: An inaccurate label could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires. An overloaded vehicle can result in a tire failure which may result in a vehicle crash, personal injury, or property damage.

The fix: Jayco will notify owners and provide corrected labels free of charge. The safety recall began on November 2, 2012.
