NHTSA recall 13V168000
Equipment · Jayco, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: In these vehicles, if the awning installation sequence is not completely followed, the awning motor may unknowingly become damaged.
Why it matters: If motor damage occurs, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the motorhome is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.
The fix: Jayco will notify owners and dealers will inspect and replace the awning motor free of charge. The recall began on May 23, 2013.
