NHTSA recall 13V412000
Air Bags · Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
Details
What's wrong: Due to electrical noise, a component in the air bag control module may fail causing the front air bags, side curtain air bags, and/or seatbelt pretensioners to deploy inadvertently while the vehicle is being operated.
Why it matters: Inadvertent deployment of the air bags may increase the risk of injury and the possibility of a vehicle crash.
The fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will install a noise suppressor unit, free of charge. The recall began on November 1, 2013. A renotification letter went out on July 11, 2014 for the 2003 Acura and the 2003-2004 odyssey.
