NHTSA recall 13V488000
Seats · General Motors, LLC
Details
What's wrong: Affects vehicles equipped with manual reclining seatbacks. In the affected vehicles, either of the front seatbacks may have play. Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard no. 202a, "head restraints."
Why it matters: If the vehicle is struck from behind, the head restraint may not properly protect occupants, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Gm has notified owners. Dealers will inspect the seatback recliner mechanisms and make adjustments, as needed, free of charge. The recall began on October 23, 2013.
