NHTSA recall 14V470000
Service Brakes, Hydraulic · Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: Porsche cars north america, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain model year 2015 Macan vehicles manufactured March 6, 2014, to April 26, 2014. During manufacturing, the brake booster may have been damaged during installation.
Why it matters: If the brake booster was damaged during installation, the vacuum in the brake booster may drop when the brakes are actuated, resulting in a reduced brake force boost, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the brake booster, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 29, 2014.
