NHTSA recall 15V156000
Equipment · Forest River, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2014 Palomino Solaire trailers manufactured July 1, 2014, to August 31, 2014. The affected vehicles may have been manufactured without an exterior furnace vent causing exhaust fumes to be vented into the trailer. Additionally, the lack of a furnace vent may result in a heat buildup around the furnace.
Why it matters: Exhaust fumes inside the trailer may result in carbon-monoxide poisoning, increasing the risk of occupant injury. A heat build up, increases the risk of a fire.
The fix: Forest river will notify owners, and dealers will install an exterior furnace vent in any affected trailer that does not have one, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in April 2015.
