What's wrong: In the affected vehicles, the vacuum pump relay may overheat due to an internal fault or contamination.
Why it matters: If the vacuum pump relay overheats, there is an increased risk of a vehicle fire.
The fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the vacuum pump relay with a new electro-mechanical relay, free of charge. The recall began on July 6, 2015.
