Details

What's wrong: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain model year 2016 Eagle half ton (ht) fifth wheel trailers manufactured May 19, 2015, to October 8, 2015. The affected vehicles do not have warning labels on the towing hitch to identify the maximum gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) for towing, maximum tongue weight and towing vehicle braking information.

Why it matters: A vehicle operator could unknowingly overload the trailer, which may result in tire or axle failure and increase the risk of a crash.

The fix: Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will apply the proper warning label, free of charge. The recall began on December 2, 2015.
