What's wrong: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Legacy motorhomes, models 340bh, 340kp, and 360rb, manufactured September 12, 2013, to September 25, 2015. The affected vehicles are equipped with a seat belts whose shoulder belt may rest at, or below, the shoulder of the seat occupant. Why it matters: If the shoulder belt rests too low on the torso, it can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The fix: Forest river will notify owners, and dealers will install new seat belt systems, free of charge. An interim notice was mailed to owners on January 13, 2016. The recall began on February 1, 2016.
