NHTSA recall 16V780000
Equipment, Fuel System, Gasoline · Forest River, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain model year 2016 Rockport cargo box trucks and work trucks manufactured December 8, 2015, to May 31, 2016 and built on gm chassis. Cycling the rear ramp in and out may cause the electrical connections on the fuel sending unit to be damaged, resulting in a loss of fuel pressure.
Why it matters: A loss of fuel pressure will result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Forest river will notify owners, and dealers will reinstall the loading ramp structure to give sufficient clearance, free of charge. The recall began on November 29, 2016.
