NHTSA recall 16V942000
Seat Belts · Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC
Details
What's wrong: The affected vehicles have seatbelt pretensioners that may not function properly in the event of a crash.
Why it matters: If the front seat seatbelt pretensioners do not function properly, the seat occupants may not be adequately restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Land rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the front seat belt assemblies, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 20, 2017.
