Details

What's wrong: The affected vehicles may have had incorrect engine oil cooler line installed, causing an oil leak in the engine compartment.

Why it matters: If oil leaks onto the front brake discs, a greater distance may be needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Bmw will notify owners, and dealers will replace the engine oil cooler line, free of charge. The recall began August 11, 2017.
