What's wrong: The park brake systems may not prevent the vehicles from moving unintentionally if parked on a grade. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (fmvss) number 121, "air brake systems."
Why it matters: Unintentional vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash.
The fix: Spartan will notify owners, and spartan service centers will replace the rear brake chambers, free of charge. The recall began September 11, 2018.
