NHTSA recall 18V876000
Suspension · Forest River, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: The federal placard may indicate an incorrect gross axle weight rating (gawr), which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 cfr part 567, "certification."
Why it matters: An overloaded vehicle may cause operator to lose control of vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Forest river has notified owners, and dealers will replace the federal placard with a new corrected placard, free of charge. The recall began January 18, 2018.
