Details
What's wrong: The upper intrusion bar within the front left door may be split. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (fmvss) number 214, "side impact protection."
Why it matters: The split metal may compromise the vehicle's strength reducing the side-impact protection and increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Karma will notify owners, and dealers will inspect all of the front doors and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 1, 2019.
