Details
What's wrong: The steering rack pinion teeth may break under load, resulting in a loss of steering control.
Why it matters: A loss of steering control increases risk of a crash.
The fix: Bmw has notified owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear, free of charge. The recall began October 9, 2019.
