What's wrong: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020 Shockwave Toyhauler sht18fs-ca trailers. The federal placard indicates the incorrect tire pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (fmvss) number 110, "tire selection and rims."
Why it matters: The incorrect tire pressure can cause a loss of vehicle control or premature tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Forest river will notify owners and will provide a corrected federal placard, free of charge. The recall began January 20, 2020.
