What's wrong: The supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light software is programmed incorrectly, which may cause the warning light to malfunction and intermittently illuminate.
Why it matters: An SRS system warning light that falsely illuminates could prevent the detection of an actual air bag system failure, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will update the restraints control module (rcm) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 23, 2022.
