Details

What's wrong: The throttle grip may break if used to pull up a motorcycle fallen on its side.

Why it matters: A broken throttle grip may restrict throttle movement or cause a loss of throttle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Owners should not operate their motorcycle, other than to take it to a dealer, until the remedy is performed. Dealers will replace the grip end and if necessary, the throttle grip assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 17, 2022.
