Details
What's wrong: The 12-volt MINI breaker cover for the slide-out was not installed during production, leading to exposed studs that could cause electrical arcing.
Why it matters: Electrical arcing between the exposed studs and nearby aluminum ducting can increase the risk of fire and injury.
The fix: Dealers will inspect the 12-volt MINI breaker for the slide-out, and install a cover if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 21, 2022.
