What's wrong: The vehicle's hazard lights may flash when the brake pedal is applied. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Why it matters: Flashing hazard lights during braking may cause confusion for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will update the body control module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2022.
