NHTSA recall 22V725000
Exterior Lighting · BMW of North America, LLC
Details
What's wrong: In certain vehicle operating conditions, only one of the two front parking lights may remain illuminated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
Why it matters: A loss of illumination from one of the parking lights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will reprogram the electronic control unit for the front parking lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2022.
