What's wrong: Affects vehicles equipped with Carbon ceramic Matrix brakes. During certain driving maneuvers, the brake system may exert an excessive clamp force that may fracture the rotor, decreasing the brake performance.
Why it matters: An unexpected decrease in brake performance increases the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will update the brake system module (bsm) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 20, 2023.
