Details
What's wrong: Affects vehicles equipped with 2.0L phev engines. The engine may shut down due to a loss of communication between the transmission control module and the hybrid control processor.
Why it matters: An engine shut down can result in an unexpected loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will update the vehicle control software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2023.
