Details
What's wrong: The hood latch striker may separate and fail, resulting in an unlatched hood that can open or detach while driving.
Why it matters: A hood that opens while driving can detach and become a road hazard, or obstruct the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and repair the hood, and install a striker support plate if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 12, 2024.
