NHTSA recall 24V585000
Exterior Lighting · Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)
Details
What's wrong: Affects vehicles equipped with incorrect tail lights that may be obstructed by the spare tire. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
Why it matters: Obstructed tail lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the tail lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2024.
