What's wrong: Kawasaki motors Corp., U.S.a. (kmc) is recalling certain 2024 z7 hybrid ABS and ninja 7 hybrid ABS motorcycles. The electronic control unit (ECU) may cause the transmission to shift into neutral when the operator attempts to shift from first to second gear.
Why it matters: The unintended shift to neutral can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will reprogram the ECM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 27, 2024.
