NHTSA recall 24V748000
Back Over Prevention, Equipment · Nissan North America, Inc.
Details
What's wrong: Nissan north america, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 Infiniti QX80 vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "rear visibility."
Why it matters: The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: The in-vehicle infotainment software will be updated by an over-the-air (ota) software update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2024.
