Details
What's wrong: The steering gear assembly may have been assembled with an incorrect rack, which can cause the gears to fracture.
Why it matters: A fractured steering gear can cause the steering to bind or lock, resulting in a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the steering gear assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 19, 2025.
