Details

What's wrong: The headlight low beams may fail to illuminate when starting the vehicle in cold weather. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (fmvss) number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Why it matters: Headlight failure can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Rivian will replace the headlight control modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 22, 2025.
