Details
What's wrong: The federal placard may have the incorrect unloaded vehicle weight (uvw) and cargo carrying capacity (ccc) information, allowing the trailer to be overloaded.
Why it matters: An overloaded vehicle increases the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the federal placard, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2025.
