What's wrong: Porsche cars north america, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan Electric vehicles. The rearview camera may show a blurry image or fail to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "rear visibility."
Why it matters: A rearview camera that does not display an image decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will update the control unit software, inspect, and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 23, 2025.
