NHTSA recall 26V342000

What's wrong: Tiffin motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Open Trail, Wayfarer, and 2026 Midas recreational vehicles. The cargo carrying capacity (ccc) label may have been incorrectly printed on a white label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (fmvss) number 120, "wheels and rims-other than passenger cars."

Why it matters: The incorrect label color may make it difficult for the operator to locate the loading or tire pressure information, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2026.
