What's wrong: The rear outboard seat belts may become twisted and fail to retract properly.
Why it matters: A seat belt that does not retract may fail to restrain properly an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Dealers will replace the retractors and pillar trim, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed September 17, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available.
